Burlington/West Burlington: A Community of Promise
Burlington / West Burlington was designated as an Iowa Community of Promise in 2008. It is supported by 21 board members and 15 community champions.
"The community of Burlington/West Burlington, Iowa, accepts the challenge to become a Community of Promise. Our goal is to fulfill all Five Promises - caring adults, safe places, a healthy start, marketable skills, and opportunities to serve - for the children and youth in our Community of Promise area... We believe that through collaboration, we can impact a greater number of children and youth than any one organization can by working independently."
