How are you helping Iowa's children and youth become successful adults? Iowa's Promise has established the following partnership guidelines:
STATE PARTNERS are state-level public or private agencies, organizations or associations that generate or direct resources for children and youth, help communities build the capacity to serve young people, and connect their own programs and initiatives to collaboratively support state and local youth development efforts to fulfill the Five Promises.
SPONSORING PARTNERS are corporations, foundations, or individuals that provide direct financial support or in-kind goods and services directly to “Iowa’s Promise”.
LOCAL PARTNERS connect their own programs and initiatives to community collaborative efforts to launch or expand child and youth initiatives that provide the Five Promises. Local partners offer their leadership, expertise, volunteers, goods and services to ensure that young people within their community have the services, opportunities, and supports they need to succeed in life.
ALL PARTNERS:
- Endorse the ICYD “results for Iowa youth” and share responsibility that all children and youth have safe and supportive families, schools and communities, grow up healthy and socially competent, are successful in school, and are prepared for a productive adulthood;
- Commit to help fulfill the Five Promises to Iowa children and youth by dedicating their unique skills, talents, abilities and resources toward improving the lives of Iowa’s young people; and
- Agree to promote the Five Promises within their organization and encourage their constituencies and/or members to become involved and support child and youth development efforts within their respective communities.
